Book Trailers

Did you know that some books have trailers? Publishers will sometimes commission trailers for their major new titles, and some are quite impressive.  Check out this one for the 2013 Newbery Medal book, The One and Only Ivan (oh, how I love the sound of that!). You'll want to make the videos full screen  (click the middle of the video screen twice) in order to see the entire video:

The New York Times bestselling book Wonder has a live action trailer:





The Bad Kitty series is a blockbuster hit, so it's no surprise that the recent book, Bad Kitty School Daze (which is as fabulously funny as the other Bad Kitty books), has a trailer:

This is just a sample of the book trailers available on Youtube. Some creative and savvy teachers, librarians, and other children's/YA literature fans make unofficial trailers for their favorite books, so there's bound to be something for your recent favorite book.
