Long Time No Post!

We're having a very busy summer here! I'm always reading, but finding time to blog during the day is tricky. I don't have any reviews today, but I wanted to tell you about all the fun things that have been happening at the Fauquier County libraries.

-We've had two terrific special performers so far...The Rainbow Company and Jonathan Austin. The Rainbow Company performed a fantastic version of an Anansi the Spider story, with the aid of volunteers from the audience. Jonathan Austin wowed the crowds with his juggling, magic tricks, and mastery of the unicycle.

-We're having a full storytime schedule: Warrenton has BabySteps, Half Pints, and Toddler storytimes, and all branches have Preschool storytime. We also have a summertime-only story program for rising 1st-5th graders called Book Buzz.

-Teens are enjoying a variety of programs, such as Warrenton's weekly Anime Club, Bealeton's weekly Coffeehouse, and special programs such as aromatherapy, babysitting, tie dye, and more.

-It's not too late to sign up for our summer reading program! No limits or requirements....you read whatever you want and the amount you want. Your one spin (plus an extra if you do an extra activity) per week allows you to collect fun prizes!

So don't think there's nothing to do this summer....we have lots of things going on. Best of all, it's free and local!
