So many of you have asked us for help finding award winning books. While we do have brochures on the two most prestigious children's literature awards in the United States (Newbery and Caldecott), there are other children's literature awards out there! Here are some of my favorites books that have won awards:

E GRA “Let’s Get a Pup,” Said Kate Graham (Henry Burgh Children’s Book Award, Boston Globe/Horn Book Award)

E KUS So What’s it Like to be a Cat? Kuskin (Henry Burgh Children’s Book Award)

Easy Chapter Books:

JF DIC Mercy Watson Goes For a Ride DiCamillo (ALA Children's Notables List)

Chapter Books:

Awards:

Boston Globe/Horn Book Award

Caldecott Medal

Edgar Award (you can search the database to find the children's mystery winners and nominees)

Henry Bergh Children’s Book Award

Newbery Medal

(Note: Some awards, such as the Newbery, Caldecott, Boston Globe-Horn book have "Honor" designations or nominees such as the Edgars. Feel free to read those to count for your game board.)
