Children often wonder what their parents do at work. This common wonderment is adeptly captured in Frida's Office Day. Frida accompanies Dad to work one day; they put on "work clothes," catch the subway, meet Dad's coworkers, and even catch a movie in the middle of the day. Of course, there is a mishap with the copier, but no day can be perfect, right?
Some unusual words may cause a new reader to pause (liverburger, catnip), but this cute story should holder young children's attention.
One side note: Frida receives an airplane wings pin. Remember when flight attendants used to hand those out to kids when they exited the airplane? I fly several times a year, and I can't remember the last time I saw that happen. Yet another budget cut?
