The Brook is a gentle and soothing evocation of a quiet brook. From the formation of the stream due to spring rain to the deer drinking from the water, this is a lovely and sparse (no more than two sentences per line) ode to a spring brook. This would be a great addition to a water or spring-themed storytime.
